On 13 February 2026, on the margins of the African Union (AU) Summit in Addis Ababa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Senator Pholile Shakantu, met with a delegation from the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), led by the Secretary-General, His Excellency Moussa Saleh Batraki. The meeting was held in the presence of His Excellency Sibusiswe Mngomezulu and His Excellency Mahlaba Mamba.
Discussions focused on finalising arrangements for upcoming side engagements aimed at advancing preparations for the 11th OACPS Summit, scheduled to take place in Malabo from 27–29 March 2026.
In his capacity as Champion for Resource Mobilisation, His Majesty King Mswati III has commissioned a delegation led by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Russell Dlamini, to engage and rally Member States in a spirit of solidarity. The initiative seeks to strengthen collective efforts towards the mobilisation of sustainable resources to support the work and mandate of the OACPS Secretariat.
