OACPS Committee of Ambassadors Chairmanship February to July 2025

15/10/2025

On 1 February 2025, H.E. Sibusisiwe Mngomezulu, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Eswatini to the European Union, assumed the chairmanship of the Committee of Ambassadors of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), succeeding the Republic of Congo’s leadership.

The Committee of Ambassadors is a key body within the OACPS framework, providing essential support to the Council of Ministers and fostering cooperation with external partners.

As Chair, Ambassador Mngomezulu led a nine-member Bureau comprising representatives from the four African regions, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. He took over from his Congolese counterpart, H.E. Mr. Leon Raphael Mokoko, guiding the Committee’s work on trade and economic issues, partnership development, and South-South cooperation.
