As part of his four-day tour of the Kingdom of Eswatini, OACPS Secretary-General H.E. Moussa Batraki had discussions with Senator Pholile Shakantu, Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the OACPS Council of Ministers, focusing on, among other things, the Organisation’s reform agenda. Secretary-General Batraki expressed appreciation for Eswatini’s leadership and outlined his vision focused on institutional reform, inclusivity, peacebuilding, diversification of partners and enhanced support for small island and vulnerable states. Minister Shakantu reaffirmed Eswatini’s commitment to OACPS principles, highlighted capacity constraints among member states, and advocated for targeted technical assistance. Both leaders committed to advancing reforms, deepening members engagement, and strengthening the OACPS as a unified global actor.
