BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – The President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Senator Pastor Lindiwe Dlamini, received an award in recognition of her leadership and contribution during the EuropAfrica Investment Forum 2026 in Brussels. The recognition placed Eswatini’s parliamentary leadership in the spotlight at a high-level gathering bringing together African and European political leaders, parliamentarians, policymakers, investors and representatives of international institutions.
The EuropAfrica Investment Forum, held from 30 September to 2 October 2026, provided a platform for dialogue on strengthening cooperation, investment and economic relations between Africa and Europe. Senator Dlamini participated in the programme at the European Parliament on 2 October, where she was featured in the session on “Social Security in Africa and Agriculture” alongside European and African political leaders. The official programme identified her as President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

The award presented to Senator Dlamini was a significant acknowledgement of her leadership and public service, while also reflecting the growing visibility of the Kingdom of Eswatini in international and inter-parliamentary engagements. Her recognition in Brussels provided an important opportunity to showcase Eswatini’s contribution to dialogue on inclusive development, social protection, agriculture and stronger Africa–Europe partnerships.
Senator Dlamini’s participation also formed part of broader parliamentary engagement during the Forum, which included a Leaders Round Table on Euro-African Cooperation and Europe–Africa Parliamentary Meetings. Her presence and recognition at the Forum reaffirmed Eswatini’s commitment to parliamentary diplomacy and constructive engagement with European and African partners in advancing shared development priorities.
